  • Idalgashinna is a small village in the Badulla District, Uva Province, Sri Lanka. Situated at an elevation of about 1,615 meters above sea level, it is located in the Haputale-Namunukula mountain range.
  • During the British period and before that, Idalgashinna was a famous entrance to the upland country. Idalgashinna gap and Haputale gap (1700-1500m) are prominent passes that allow entry through almost impenetrable mountain.
